This workshop is on the 9th June 2024 11:00 - 13:00 at YICRAFTS studio 60 Neasden Ln, London, NW10 2UW.

In this 2 hour session, you will stitch together with Yiran to explore the beauty of slow stitching - sashiko.

You will learn the cultural background and history of sashiko in Japan and the practce in modern society. Then you will have four different sashiko patterns to stitch and practice, which including three small pieces (that can make into coaster) and one tote bag.

You don't need to prepare any materials for yourself, all the materials for the workshop will be provided.

• 1 Sashiko needle

• 1 skein of 30m Sashiko thread

• 3 Sashiko fabric with template

• 1 blue or red placemat
