Boro patches tote bag kit

from £8.00

Boro are a class of Japanese textiles that have been mended or patched together. The term is derived from the Japanese term "boroboro", meaning something tattered or repaired.

This kit includes:

  • one natural indigo dyed tote bag of your choice

  • 7 mixed patches for you to add on the tote bag of your own design and layout (2 pieces of shibori fabric, 3 pieces of Japanese printing fabric, and 2 pieces of sashiko fabric )

  • 1 skein of Sashiko thread

  • 1 sashiko needle

The bags are all natural dyed, so please be aware that the colour will fade slightly. Try to avoid dry the bag under strong sunlight, and wash with dark cloth. All the patches pattern will be slightly different, but they are all beautiful pieces. If you want specific patches please get in touch via email.
