NEW EXHIBITION IN BEIJING

Spring Returns To The Earth

Spring never grows in museums. It turns over in the new cracks of clay, stretches out in the unfinished stitches of indigo-dyed fabric. Here, it wakes up in the patterns of more than twenty pairs of hands.

As the willows sprout new buds, a group of sowers from different continents are melting the boundaries of cultural exchange with the warmth of handcrafts.

We are hosting an exhibition in collaboration with Liuran (六然).

Cultural Exchange: Intangible Cultural Heritage Handcraft Exhibition.

Will be held from March 18 to April 20, 2025, at the Chunfeng Xixi (春风习习) Bookstore in Sanlitun, Beijing.

Through over 20 sets of intangible cultural heritage handcraft installations created by Chinese and British artists, it showcases the contemporary vitality of traditional crafts in a cross-cultural context.

The exhibition centres on the theme "The Warmth of Cultural Integration" and presents spring imagery emerging from handcraft mediums such as pottery, indigo dyeing, and weaving.

Meet The Artists

Here, over twenty pairs of hands are weaving the spring. These works, like seeds, travel across mountains and seas, taking root and sprouting in each other's land. Each piece is the "Chinese culture" in the heart of the creator, carrying their own interpretation and recreation, and gaining vitality through collision.
