V&A Dimensions: Women in Crafts

  • Yi Crafts 60 Neasden Lane London, England, NW10 2UW United Kingdom (map)

Yi Crafts is pleased to share that our founder Yiran has been invited to speak at Dimensions: Women in Crafts, a public event hosted by the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A).

The event brings together artists, curators, and practitioners to explore how women shape, sustain, and reimagine contemporary Chinese craft across studios, communities, and generations. It reflects on women’s roles in the transmission of craft knowledge, cultural memory, and the evolving language of making today.

At the event, Yiran will share Yi Crafts’ practice and perspective on working with women artisans, contemporary interpretations of traditional techniques, and the role of craft in building cultural continuity and community-led futures.

Dimensions: Women in Crafts offers an important platform for dialogue around gender, craft, and heritage, and we are honoured to be part of this conversation at the V&A.
