Soy paste resist indigo dyeing workshop
During this one day long workshop, you will learn the cultural background of traditional Chinese soy paste resist indigo textiles called Lan Yin Hua Bu 蓝印花布 with indigo dyeing history. You will learn how to make soy paste and try it out with our provided templets first, then you will be able to carve your own design. We will have an hour lunch break from 1 pm - 2 pm, then we will dye our fabric from the morning, including a square scarf.
Enjoy the magic of indigo dye and learn a traditional handcraft skill with over 1000 years history.
