An afternoon of Mid-Autumn crafts, tea, music and cultural traditions

Join Yi Crafts and friends for a special Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in London, bringing together traditional craftsmanship, snow skin mooncake, tea culture and live zither music in one immersive afternoon.

Inspired by one of East Asia's most cherished festivals, Moon Gathering invites you to slow down and celebrate the harvest season through making, tasting and sharing. Throughout the afternoon, you'll discover the stories behind traditional crafts, enjoy snow skin mooncakes and Yunnan tea, create handmade rabbit lantern, and experience the peaceful sounds of the Chinese zither live performance.

Whether you're joining one workshop or spending the whole afternoon with our bundle experience, everyone is welcome to celebrate the full moon together.

Discover the centuries-old art of Pankou (盘扣), the decorative knotted buttons traditionally found on Chinese garments such as the qipao.

Guided step by step, you'll learn how a single cord can be transformed into elegant flowers, butterflies and auspicious motifs while enjoying a tasting of snow skin mooncakes throughout the afternoon.

Experience a guided tasting of single-origin teas from Yunnan—the birthplace of tea—paired with snow skin mooncakes while learning about the history and culture of this seasonal celebration.

After the tasting, create your own festive print using traditional Chinese woodblock printing techniques and take home a handcrafted keepsake.
